AT RIVIERA_VILLA THE BEACH IS JUST "A STEP AWAY" Have a GREAT eascape from ice, snow or cold temperatures or take a break from the daily harassments of life in your big city! And do these things at your `home away from home' -- RIVIERA_VILLA! In two minutes flat you will walk from the villa gate to the Mammee Bay Beach Club entrance. On the beach warm sand will pamper your toes as you jog at the water's edge. A large section of the swimming area is shallow enough to be a wading pool for small children or non-swimmers. Two sets of coral reefs separate the swimming area at the beach club from the Caribbean sea beyond. This means that large fish are rarely found on the land side of the reefs. However, very small fish abound at the reefs. The best time to see them is early in the morning. Put on your swimming goggles and wade out to the first reef. Then look down into the water. It may be a sight whose beauty you will never forget -- just dozens of small fish of various kinds swimming around! Click on any of the pictures to your right and it will expand to give you a more close-up view of a particular aspect of the beach area. The fourth picture is taken at the northern end of the beach, where you can see a part of the top of the new Riu International Hotel. Beside the Riu is the main building of the Jewel Resort (formerly Sandals Dunn's River). After reviewing each photo, return to this screen by closing the window that contains the close-up image. |
